'Tales of Lipstick and Virtue' ist eine Erzählung die von der Überschneidung von Gender,Klasse und Rasse und ihrer Verknüpfung zur Selbstdarstellung als auch rassistischer Vorurteile, Post-Kolonialismus, Authentizität und Pseudo-Luxus handelt. Die fotografische Arbeit besteht aus Porträts, größtenteils von Frauen, in Albanien und figurativer Fake-Stills von Warenimitationen aus dem Studio.
Durch die ineinanderfließende Kombination dieser Methoden, die multidisziplinäre Kombination mit anderen Medien wie Installation und Skulptur und den Vergleich zu den von den Subjekten auf ihren eigenen Social Media Kanälen hochgeladenen Fotografien, reflektiert die Arbeit den Gebrauch der Fotografie. Die Untersuchung von sexueller und visueller Selbstbestimmung als ermächtigende Stärkung ebenso wie die Schnittstelle von Klasse und Ästhetik und ihrer (nicht-) eurozentrischen Hintergründe werden mit einer verspielten Verwendung von saccharinen Farben, Stilisierung und Humor beleuchtet.

'Tales of Lipstick and Virtue' is a narration which deals with the crossroads of gender, class and race and their interconnection to self representation as well as racial prejudice, postcolonialism, authenticity and pseudo luxury. The photographic work consists of portraits, of mostly women, in Albania and figurative fake-stills of brand imitations out of the studio. Due to the fluctuating combination of this methods, the multidisciplinary combination with other mediums like installation and sculpture and the comparison to the photographs the subjects uploaded on their own social media platforms, the body of work reflects upon the usage of photography. Exploration of sexual and visual self-determination as empowerment in addition to the intersection of class and aesthetics and their (non-) euro-centric backgrounds are examined with a playful use of saccharine colour, stylization and humour.
